Wimba session 2

Week 2 Wimba –
(the following are the random thoughts and notes I took during wimba session)

Publishing/leadership project –
Formulate a leadership project I can do for when I leave full sail university. Make sure I have the following items in my leadership project:
Intro
Lit Review
Methodology
Results
Conclusion
If I understand correctly, I will write a paper from off of my action research website. I am better at doing a presentation. I am not a good writer. I need to do a blog post on what I will do for my leadership project. I am confused when I do this, I am guessing I do this now. I guess I am supposed to create a presentation for maybe my school? I will write out all the words I will say in keynotes. 1500 words total. I need to have a site that has a link to all of my work. AHHH….I need to have things done to share either Tuesday or Thursday. I need to get a group of people together to share my information. I am guessing this presentation would be in my case how to do an alphabet digital story in your classroom. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Signing up for session:
- sign up in google doc. I have to put my url link as well. This stuff need to be in document or powerpoint presentation.
Can I do a presentation for my district and do how you would create digital stories in general?

  1. Wow, interesting stream of consciousness. Step one, there are complete instructions for the publishing/leadership project in FSO, in an activity called "publishing/leaderships project," with the project sharing info in the week4 wimba FSO activity (in week 4 activities).

You will write two blog posts in your class blog thinking out loud about where you want to post. You will create a third class blog post with a brief one-paragraph description of the project and a link where we can download a copy of your presentation in keynote or powerpoint form. The presentation must be at least five slides and the speaker's notes should have about 300 words per slide (NOT on the slide, but in the speakers notes), totally to about 1500 for the presentation (more slides = fewer words in speakers note per slide).

You will need to stretch beyond your comfort zone and present at a regional or national conference. Staff development days on site or at district level are not enough to fulfill this project's requirements.

Before the week 4 wimba you will have your info posted so that those sign up for the same day can preview your presentation. During the session you'll give a very brief overview and those in the session will give you constructive feedback. You only need to put your own group together if you are not able to make either the tuesday or thursday sessions. Besides getting feedback, those putting together their own sessions will need to create a blog post sharing information and feedback from the session. This additional feedback session and blog post are not required of those how participate in either the tuesday or thursday sessions.

Again, more info in the FSO activities for the Publishing/Leadership project and week 4 wimba. Enjoy!
